Service Description

A Blessing way is a celebration of life and love, pregnancy and motherhood. It is a tranquil, sacred and love-filled atmosphere. It has evolved from a traditional Native American Ceremony concerned with healing, creation, harmony and peace in appreciation for and in honor of the mother-to-be. The spiritual intention behind our Blessing way is to honor, nourish, and nurture the mother, to celebrate sisterhood and welcome a new baby Earthside. It will be a ceremony of empowerment and we will all offer our support and encouragement. The ceremony is to unfold by itself, following energy. However, there are some basic things that you can expect to take place: -Mother-to-be is surrounded by her tribe -Grounding and Cleansing Ceremony (with sage, water or visualization) -Ancestor Altar - honoring the mothers in our lineages that made space for the new seed - Fruit Basket Offering - collected fruit by the participants to provide mother-to-be to nourish and ripen her womb for birth -Tribe Circle - introducing the tribe, creating a circle of connection -Creating sacred space by inviting the direction\elements, above, below and the center -Setting up intentions for birth, connecting to mother to provide support -Muva Blessing - honor, pamper, and adorn the mother-to-be to fill her with positive and empowering energies. We tell her stories to encourage her, offer blessings to support her, and give her gifts that will help guide her on her journey. *some different activities that might take place: a foot bath/massage, collectively giving her Reiki, telling stories, making a crystal and bead necklace for her labor, giving presents to the mother-to-be, singing, visualizing, painting the mother’s belly (henna), etc. -Space where mother-to-be can share what’s in her heart. -Sharing collective meal The basic fee is $400, which includes: – gathering & purchase of supplies for the ceremony in advance (flowers, a real of thread, items for altar and whatever else might be needed) – Setting up the altar – Guiding ceremony - Travel Expenses
